Inspired by the theories of Michel Foucault the phenomenon of public transport is being examined. An at first glance objective system, an at first sight neutral service which seems for everyone available, will be looked at more closely to see how far this neutrality goes and to see if it doesn't concern a social control system and some sort of power politics. In other words; how public is the public transport? The by Pierre Cuypers, in commission of the Dutch State, designed in Old-Dutch style, Central Station of Amsterdam is the place of the action.
